Academic Showcase
Forum for sharing research with the WSU community
Submissions are open Nov. 12 – Jan. 22nd
What is Academic Showcase?
Academic Showcase is a poster session that lets you share your recent original research, scholarship, and/or creative work with the WSU academic community.
The event highlights interdisciplinary collaboration. Academic Showcase is held on the Pullman campus. For time and location, see the event schedule.
Eligibility
Academic Showcase welcomes participation of WSU faculty, staff, and graduate/professional students from all disciplines, campuses, and Extension offices statewide.
Your original research, scholarship, or creative activity must meet all eligibility requirements outlined in the submission guidelines.
Graduate and professional students
As a graduate or professional student, you may submit an abstract and presentation to Academic Showcase. To present at Academic Showcase, you will need a faculty/staff co-author or sponsor.
Many students prefer to share their work in GPSA Research Exposition, because participants in that event compete for scholarships. To apply to participate in GPSA Research Exposition, you must:
- Be enrolled at the Pullman campus. Students at other WSU locations are not eligible, .
- Submit your abstract directly to GPSA for consideration.
- If your abstract is not accepted by GPSA Research Exposition, you will automatically be entered in Academic Showcase, provided that you adhere to the guidelines and submit your presentation by the deadline.
Undergraduate students
If you are engaged in mentored research, scholarship, and creative activities, you can share your work and compete for awards at Showcase for Undergraduate Research and Creative Activity (SURCA).
Academic Showcase is not open to undergraduate students.
How to register
- Review the submission guidelines.
- Submit an abstract of your work.
You may present only one abstract of your work as a primary or presenting author.
Archive your research
Research Exchange is a digital archive of investigations completed by WSU faculty, staff, students, alumni, and retirees. It makes WSU research accessible to the university community, the larger academic community, and the general public.
