Scholarship Opportunity

All WSU Pullman fee-paying graduate and professional students are eligible in GPSA Research Exposition, and compete for a total of $10,000 scholarship in six competition categories.

    • Medical & Life Sciences: Biological Systems Engineering; Biology; Human Nutrition; Molecular Biosciences; Pharmacology & Toxicology; Pharmacy; Veterinary Medicine; Zoology; and related research areas.
    • Engineering, Physical Sciences & Environmental science: Chemical Engineering; Chemistry; Civil & Environmental Engineering; Electrical Engineering; Mechanical & Materials Engineering; Physics; Geology; Environmental & Natural Resource Sciences; Food engineering; and related research areas.
    • Agricultural & Natural Sciences: Animal Sciences; Crop & Soil Sciences; Horticulture; Botany; Plant Pathology; Entomology; Food Science; Molecular Plant Sciences; and related research areas.
    • Social Sciences: Anthropology; Communication; Psychology; Criminal Justice; Sociology; Education; Human Development; and related research areas.

Abstract review

  • GPSA Research Exposition uses double-blind review, which means that both the reviewer and author identities are concealed from the reviewers, and vice versa, throughout the abstract review process.
  • Abstracts is reviewed by GPSA Strategic Planning & Scholarship committee, using 2018 GPSA Research Exposition Abstract Evaluation Rubric (to be posted in early-December).
  • Watch for email notification of acceptance in mid-February 2018.
  • Be at your poster for the judging time during Thursday, March 29, 2018. Detailed judging times will be communicated to accepted applicants in February 2018.
  • Judges will ask the participants to present their poster and ask questions.
  • Winners in each competition categories will be announced by GPSA Strategic Planning & Scholarship committee via email.
